That is a deliberate arrangement rather than a gap. Clear aligners now handle the large majority of cases well, and where they do not, a specialist orthodontist is the right person for the job. You get an honest assessment either way instead of being steered towards whatever happens to be available in the building.
Braces are brackets bonded to the teeth and connected by a wire, adjusted over time. They work continuously, without depending on the patient remembering anything, and they give very fine control over difficult movements.
Invisalign uses a sequence of clear, removable trays. Nothing is bonded to your teeth, you take them out to eat and brush, and most people find them far less conspicuous. They depend entirely on being worn 20 to 22 hours a day.
If your case falls into any of these, you will be told plainly and referred rather than talked into an aligner that will not deliver.
Mild to moderate crowding and spacing, relapse after previous orthodontics, and adults who want treatment that is not obvious at work all tend to suit aligners well. A look at your bite and alignment, a digital scan, and an honest conversation about which approach fits your teeth, your timeline and your budget. If that answer is braces, you leave with a referral and a clear explanation of why. If it is Invisalign, you leave with an estimated treatment length and cost in writing.

Healthy teeth move at any age. Many of our Invisalign patients are adults who never had treatment as teenagers, or whose results relapsed after a retainer was abandoned.
